Eva's 1st Christmas

I know I know I know. It has been WAY too long since I last posed anything. It's been over 6 weeks and time has flown by incredibly fast. That will change, however, and I plan on having several posts in January because January of 2011 was very signifcant for our family and is worthy of some reflection But first we start with Christmas.....

This Christmas was absolutely amazing. We were so excited for many reasons. First, this was our 1st Christmas with our love, our joy, our blessing, Eva. Second, we were blessed to be able to go away to Florida and spend the holiday with my parents. Third, we were in warm weather (John & I don't necessarily need the snow anymore, but we know that we'll have to give Eva that experience). Everything else we experienced was just icing on the cake.

Christmas morning was exciting I have to say. In years past, when it's been just us adult kids, we would schlep around the house all day, eating, watching TV, napping. Then we'd eat dinner and after we were totally full, we would open gifts. Needless to say, I was NOT about to wait THAT long to see my baby open up her gifts.

We had so much fun watching Eva rip open packages and pull tissue paper out of gift bags. She was so happy after the 1st gift that she didn't even realize that she had LOTS more gifts to open
The very 1st gift she opened. A purse with Fairies on it. Oh the things that can be put inside of it!

By the time Eva opened up her last gift, she was pooped! So she took her gift over to the couch and chilled out

After her nap, I just HAD to put her in this darling Christmas dress that her Aunt Nancy got her. It is so beautiful and Eva loved wearing it. She loves twirling in dresses. We took oodles of pics of her in this dress but these are my favorite!

Dinner was amazing as always....thanks Mom!! For the rest of the evening, Eva played with her toys, her Daddy & Poppi, read her books, and got to watch Christmas Dora (on DVR) What an awesome Christmas Day. I loved every minute of it
