2012
January 14 - Our 3rd & last post-placement meeting with out social worker.


2011
October 19 - Readoption Hearing (Finalization of Adoption).

July 12 - Our 2nd post-placement meeting with our social worker.

March 26 - Our 1st post-placement meeting with our social worker.

March 3 - On our way home as a family of 3!! YAY!!

February 28 - Embassy Appointment 9 a.m. **EVA IS OFFICIALLY OUR DAUGHTER**

February 26 - Landed in Ethiopia and had Eva in our arms several hours later. We were able to take Eva to the hotel today.

February 25 - Headed to Ethiopia for our Embassy appointment.

February 22 - Received a call from Brandi informing us that our Embassy appointment is 2/28/11.

February 18 - U.S. Embassy has officially cleared us for travel back to Ethiopia to pick up our daughter!

February 17 - Received a call from Brandi that our File was submitted to the U.S. Embassy in Ethiopia on 2/14/11.

February 2 - Birthmother appeared for court **EVA IS LEGALLY OUR DAUGHTER**

February 1 -We passed our portion of court but Birthmother was a 'no show'.

January 28 - Headed to Ethiopia for our Court date

2010
December 30 - Had our "Travel Conference" phone call.

November 30 - RECEIVED OUR COURT DATE: **February 1, 2011**

November 23 - Referral Packet arrived at AGCI. Had our "Next Steps" phone call.

November 15 - Had our "Transition Plan" phone call.

November 19 - Mailed off our Referral packet.

November 11 - RECEIVED OUR REFERRAL (YAY!! -- GOD IS SO GOOD!!)

November 4 - OFFICIALLY #1 ON THE WAITLIST (YAY -- PRAISE GOD!!)

October 23 - UNOFFICIALLY #1 on the waitlist

October 5 - #8 on the waitlist (SO CLOSE!)

September 7 - #13 on the waitlist


August 5 - #15 on the waitlist (WOW!)

July 8 - #21 on the waitlist.

June 10 - #24 on the waitlist.

May 13 - #28 on the waitist.

April 8 - #36 on the waitlist.


March 22 - We received our letter that the State Dept’s National Visa Center received our approval for adoption and that the case has been forwarded to the Embassy of the United States in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

March 13 - We received our “Favorable Determination Letter” from the US C.I.S.

March 11 - We were involved in a conference call with our adoption agency. During this call we learned that the Ethiopian government has instituted a new policy that the adoptive parents have to make a total of 2 trips to Ethiopia.


March 9 -  #41 on the waitlist.

March 3 - We went to the US C.I.S in downtown Columbus and had our electronic fingerprints taken.

February 25 - We received notice from our local US C.I.S office with an appointment for our fingerprints set for March 3rd.

February 5 - We received e-mail from our Case Manager informing us that we are #46 on the waitlist for an Infant Girl.


February 3 - We received notice that our local US C.I.S office in Columbus received our information.

February 1 - We received a call from our Case Manager telling us that she received our dossier payments and that we are officially on the waitlist to receive a referral.

January 28 - We received notice that the US C.I.S in Texas received our application.


January 21 - Dossier arrived at AGCI.

January 15 - Sent in Dossier & I-600A paperwork.

2009
February - Decided not to send in the contract fees because we weren't feeling at peace about it. Instead we used the money to pay down some debt.

April - Received "Eyes Wide Open" Workbook.

June - Paid Homestudy Fees.

July - Sent in our Re-Application Fee.

July/August - Collected all of the Homestudy documents.

September - Completed the Adoptive Parent Education Online Courses and "Eyes Wide Open" Workbook.

August/September/October - Paid the Agency Service & Program Fees.

October - Mailed in contracts.

November - Completed all 5 Homestudy interviews/Received Dossier binder.

December - Received final draft of homestudy report.

2008 
Started really talking about, praying and researching adoption agencies

November - Sent in application to AGCI.

December - Sent Newsletter to family & friends informing them of our intent to adopt.
